Youth Performance Care

At Georgia Sports Chiropractic we are highly trained and offer specialized evaluation and treatment for all youth athletes ages 8 and up. We work with Atlanta’s top pediatric sports medicine physicians and facilitate prompt referrals as needed for all cases. Dr. Glass and Dr. Eng have worked with athletes at the highest professional level, including NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL players, and the USA Olympic and World Championships Track and Field Teams. Our experience with professional athletes give us better treatment options for youth athletes. We also emphasize injury prevention, as well as performance care to ensure they are prepared to compete at their best for any big game or tournament.  Our motto at Georgia Sports Chiropractic is “It takes an athlete to treat an athlete.” Dr. Eng and Dr. Glass are both avid runners , and participated in the following youth sports: cross country, track and field, soccer, baseball and basketball. Both doctors have also coached at the high school and youth level for cross country and track and field. Dr. Glass’s son and daughter, Jarret and Galina, are both active in youth sports.

How We Do It

Research shows that Sports Chiropractic care is completely safe and effective for treating children.  Our initial evaluation includes functional movement screening with additional sports specific biomechanics analysis to address deficits in range of motion, muscle strength and flexibility, and proper form. Our clinical training and experience with athletes make us the best resource as the first choice for your child’s injury evaluation and treatment. We also emphasize injury prevention, as well as recovery/performance care to ensure they are prepared to compete at their best for any big game or tournament.

What Makes Us Different?

Our methods allow a faster recovery and pain reduction to allow the athlete to continue training/practice and competition whenever possible. All treatments are combined with corrective exercise prescription to speed up improvement and prevent future reoccurrence of injury. Our clinic is the only sports specialized facility in the metro area, other than the Falcons, Hawks and Braves, that combines physical therapy and sports massage.
